Product Description
Chlorhexidine is also known as chlorhexidine and its chemical name is chlorhexidine. It is a cationic surfactant. It has a strong broad-spectrum antibacterial and bactericidal effect. It is a good sterilization and disinfectant. The antibacterial effect of positive and negative bacteria is stronger than that of benzalkonium bromide. It is positively charged and adsorbs on negatively charged plaques and oral mucosa surface during oral gargle, and then the adsorbed drug diffuses from these parts and gradually precipitates to produce a continuous effect until the concentration in saliva decreases after 24 hours. This product The osmotic barrier adsorbed on the cytoplasmic membrane of bacteria allows cell contents to leak out. It has a bacteriostatic effect at low concentrations and a bactericidal effect at high concentrations. It is effective even in the presence of serum, blood, etc. It is not effective against spores, acid-fast bacilli, fungi and viruses. It is clinically used to wash hands, soak hands, and disinfect the skin in the operation area before surgery; disinfect the oral cavity and throat infection, wound washing, instrument disinfection, ward or operating room, etc. Cream or ointment is used for infant eczema, small burns, scalds and impetigo; powder is used for rash, eczema, dermatitis and erythema stage. The film is used for mild burns and scalds.
Function of Chlorhexidine
1) In cosmetics and personal care products, Chlorhexidine and its salts (Chlorohexidine Dihydrochloride, Chlorhexidine
Digluconate, Chlorhexidine Diacetate) are used in the formulation of eye makeup, makeup foundations, mouthwashes, hair dyes and
bleaches, and other skin care and hair care products;
2) Chlorhexidine has been used in medical practice and these ingredients, particularly the Digluconate salt, have extensive use in
dentistry because they inhibit plaque formation;
3) Chlorhexidine is used as a topical antiseptic skin scrub in hospital and household settings;
4) For use in animals, it is used as a topical disinfectant of wounds.
