Carbendazim is a broad-spectrum fungicide, which is effective in the control of many crop diseases caused by fungi, such as semi-cognita and polyascomycetes.  Can be used for foliar spray, seed treatment and soil treatment.  It can effectively control a variety of crop diseases caused by fungi, and is widely used in China, but its residue can cause liver disease and chromosome aberration, and is toxic to mammals.  

Uses: 

Control a broad spectrum of diseases on arable crops (cereals, oilseed rape), fruits, vegetables and ornamentals. It is also used in post-harvest food storage, and as a seed pre-planting treatment.

Application rates vary from 120-600 g/ha, depending on crop. A seed treatment (0.6-0.8 g/kg) will control Tilletia, Ustilago, Fusarium and Septoria in cereals, and Rhizoctonia in cotton. Also shows activity against storage diseases of fruit as a dip (0.3-0.5 g/l).

Function

• In terms of crop disease prevention and control, carbendazim can effectively control common diseases such as yellow leaf disease, rust, powdery mildew, and anthracnose, thereby reducing crop yield losses and ensuring a bumper harvest.

• Carbendazim can be used for seed soaking treatment to prevent and control seed-borne diseases. Such as rice blast, wheat scab, etc.

• Carbendazim can be used to prevent and control soil-borne diseases such as damping-off and anthracnose through soil spraying and top dressing. Carbendazim effectively reduces the occurrence of soil diseases in continuous cropping fields by killing fungi in the soil.

• Carbendazim also plays an important role in greenhouse cultivation. Greenhouse vegetable cultivation is often troubled by fungal diseases such as gray mold and damping off. The use of carbendazim can control the occurrence of these diseases to a certain extent and ensure the growth of greenhouse crops.
