Amitraz is an organic compound with a molecular formula of C19H23N3. It is a colorless needle-like crystal. Insoluble in water, soluble in ac-etone and xylene. It has a touch and fumigation effect on harmful mites, and is effective on eggs, nymphs and adult mites. It is used as an acaricide for agriculture and livestock. The preparations include emulsifiable concentrates, wettable powders, and pour-on agents.
Application & Function
1. Amitraz is a broad-spectrum acaricide. It is mainly contact-killing, and has gastric toxicity, fumigation, antifeedant and repellent effects. It has a certain osmotic systemic property to plants, and it is resistant to young nymphs, adult mites and mites. The eggs are effective, and it is effective against the harmful mites that are resistant to some other acaricides, with good quick-acting and strong lasting effect.
