Butylated Hydroxytoluene(BHT) also known as dibutylhydroxytoluene, is a lipophilic organic compound, chemically a derivative of phenolic, that is useful for its antioxidant properties.
European and U.S. regulations allow small amounts to be used as a food additive. In addition to this use, BHT is widely used to prevent oxidation in fluids (e.g. fuel, oil) and other materials where free radicals must be controlled.
Function:
Antioxidant 264 is a general phenolic antioxidants, which is usually being used as food antioxidants, stabilizers to delay food spoilage in food grade plastic and food package.
It can also be used as antioxidant in various lubricants, gasolin e, paraffin, and various crud e oil to prevent the increasing of acid rate and viscosity.
The recommended amount will be 0.1%-1.0%
Application:
This product is applied to production and processing of animal and vegetable oil and fat products or products, leisure traveling food and health-care products containing animal and vegetable fat;
it also serves as additive for production and processing of various high-class cosmetics, food package synthetic materials, sports equipment and devices, plastic products, sports products, medical drugs and medical products, medical materials and high-grade latex products.
