Function and Application
As a selective anticholinergic drug, pirenzepine hydrochloride has a high affinity for muscarinic receptors in gastric parietal cells, but a low affinity for muscarinic receptors in myocardium and salivary glands. Therefore, when applied in general therapeutic doses, it can only inhibit gastric acid secretion.Other anticholinergic drugs have few side effects on the pupil, heart, salivary glands.Higher doses inhibited salivary secretion, and only large doses inhibited gastrointestinal smooth production and tachycardia induced by Chemicalbook.This product cannot cross the blood-brain barrier, so it does not affect the central nervous system.After oral administration, intramuscular injection or intravenous injection, both basic gastric acid secretion and exogenous pentagastrin and  induced gastric acid secretion were inhibited.This product has little effect on the pH of gastric juice, mainly to reduce the secretion of gastric juice (including pepsinogen and pepsin), so that the gastric maximum acid secretion and maximum acid secretion decreased.
